The Wheel Life The Wheel of Life is a symbolic representation of all beings in the realm of samsara. It is a large circle with interconnected sections. At the wheel's center are a pig, a snake, and a rooster representing the three root poisons of ignorance, attachment, and aversion, symbolizing the causes of suffering and the perpetuation of the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth. The wheel is divided into six realms, representing the different realms of existence: the gods, demigods, humans, animals, hungry ghosts, and hell beings. The Wheel of Life serves as a reminder of the Buddhist teachings on the Four Noble Truths and the Twelve Links of Dependent Origination. It enables practitioners to understand the nature of suffering, the impermanence of phenomena, and the importance of cultivating wisdom and compassion.
