"Pink Dog" 2015 Fukushima

Tenmei Kanoh is known as a photographer with a radical style that creates a unique impact, but from around 2010 he also began creating paintings in parallel with his work as a photographer. In these works, he incorporates digital effects into previously taken photographs, prints them on canvas, and adds acrylic paint.

The "Pink Dog" series seems to symbolize the artist himself, who seeks expression that transcends the boundaries between photography and painting, and the sudden appearance of the "Pink Dog" creates a dangerous sense of incongruity on the screen, giving the work psychological depth.
