Artist Statement

My work investigates the interplay between memory, perception, and abstraction, drawing on a lifelong exploration of form and narrative. Influenced by my classical training under Robert Brackman and my education at the Rhode Island School of Design, I fuse traditional techniques with a contemporary approach to create layered compositions that invite reflection and emotional engagement.

Through a combination of abstraction and figuration, my pieces explore the tension between structure and spontaneity, capturing fleeting moments and their resonance in our shared human experience. Whether through painting, drawing, or mixed media, my practice is rooted in a dialogue with art history while embracing the complexities of modern life.

I aim to create work that resonates with viewers on both an intellectual and visceral level, offering spaces for connection and contemplation.
