Artist Biography
Aldéhy is a French painter whose creative journey began in 1975 in the South Pacific (Vanuatu). Deeply influenced by his global travels and long stays in culturally rich yet remote environments, Aldéhy’s art carries a profound narrative and symbolic depth. His five-year immersion in the Amazon rainforest (2013–2018), living among the N’Djouka people, marked a powerful turning point in his artistic evolution.
Working primarily in painting and drawing, Aldéhy is known for his mystical, figurative, and narrative style, often presented through thematic exhibitions with structured scenarios. His works transcend mere visuals, becoming experiences—inviting the viewer into symbolic worlds full of questions, archetypes, and emotion.
Now based in Soustons (Les Landes, France), Aldéhy continues to exhibit internationally, with recent shows in Florence, Milan, Budapest, London, Monaco, Los Angeles, New York, Zurich, and Paris—including prestigious venues like the Carrousel du Louvre and the Arsenale of Venice. He is also a laureate of several international art competitions, including the Artbox Project and The Talent Prize Award at Teravarna Gallery.
More than an artist, Aldéhy is a storyteller using paint as his language—constructing bridges between myth, memory, and the metaphysical.
