BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay on July 21, 1977. I studied philosophy at the Faculty of Humanities, Communication Sciences and Art History. I have developed my plastic training in the workshop of maestro Walter Aiello, a place that continues to be a source of learning and artistic wealth.
My interest is to explore sensations from the coldness of the shapes, with the help of the intensity of the color, to the warmth of the whole.
The challenge is to be able to interpret or reinterpret with rigid, rational forms the object of my interest with geometric shapes that, in the first instance, would seem to resist an expressive, subjective, emotional mission.
In this series I have been interested in expressionism, figuration, in a high range of contrasts, supporting the drawing in triangular geometric patterns to organize the surface. Among the themes I represent different works by artists such as Picasso, Toulouse, Modigliani, Velázquez, etc., personally representative places, and moods expressed first metaphorically and then from the pictorial language that I try to develop, I aim for a spontaneous contact with the material but entrusting the expression to the control of the surface for a more direct impact.
