The upper section is distinguished by a series of horizontal stripes rendered in a vibrant and saturated color palette that includes shades of pink, magenta, orange, turquoise, and brown, interspersed with stripes of neutral gray and black. The lines exhibit a hard-edge painting style, where sharp, clean lines define each color's boundary, resulting in a flat, almost graphic appearance. This section captures the viewer's gaze with its rhythmic repetition and boldness.
Below, there is a stark contrast with a band of deep turquoise that introduces a block of intense color, anchoring the vivid stripes above. The artist has painted this band with a fluidity that suggests movement, an organic touch that contrasts with the precision of the stripes.
The lower half of the composition presents a tactile dichotomy. On the left, a dark, almost black tile is heavily textured, reminiscent of the impasto technique, with a dynamic, almost chaotic surface that absorbs light and adds depth. On the right, a tile with a paler, neutral palette offers a relief-like surface that reflects light, giving the impression of etched or weathered stone. This side appears almost archaeological, inviting closer inspection to uncover its subtle, nuanced details.
Together, the sections of "INFINITY 9485" speak to the juxtaposition of order and entropy, structure and randomness. Puschmann's use of contrasting textures and colors creates a dialogue between the methodical and the organic, possibly reflecting on the infinite complexities within the universe, as suggested by the work's title.

BIOGRAPHY
Artist Statement: "In my art I strive to fuse the versatility of abstract art, wall art, geometry and color harmonies into a fascinating unity, particularly focusing on my 'Infinity' series, in which I work with colorful tiles that expand into infinite variations and constant transformation in a sustainable manner.”
About Brigitte Puschmann: Her “Infinity” series is particularly fascinating, in which she works with colored tiles that are small works of art in themselves. These tiles can be placed, swapped, removed or arranged on wooden panels as desired before or after the work is captured through the lens of the camera. The series name "Infinity" aptly reflects the almost endless possibilities of variation that prevail in their works.
