"INFINITY 6354" by Brigitte Puschmann is a compelling diptych that uses a dichotomous texture and color scheme to create a striking visual narrative. The artwork is constructed on a wooden board, segmented into two distinct but complementary halves, each with its own tactile and chromatic characteristics.
On the left, we have a monochromatic tile with a heavily textured surface, imbued with an almost sculptural quality. The impasto technique is evident here, with thick, expressive applications of black acrylic paint creating an uneven, tactile surface that invites contemplative interaction.
To the right, the artist presents a contrasting smooth and almost luminous field, segmented by a bold geometric form. A concentric circle, or perhaps a stylized target, dominates this side, with a vibrant turquoise ring encircling a deep purple center, bisected by a horizontal line. The glossy finish of the right tile juxtaposes the matte, rough texture of the left, playing with the reflection of light and the viewer's perception of depth.
Puschmann's "INFINITY 6354" is an abstract exploration of form, texture, and the interplay of colors, creating a dialogue between the two disparate halves that form a cohesive whole. The piece suggests themes of infinity through its title and the use of the circle, a shape without beginning or end, against the finite boundaries of the square tiles.

BIOGRAPHY
Artist Statement: "In my art I strive to fuse the versatility of abstract art, wall art, geometry and color harmonies into a fascinating unity, particularly focusing on my 'Infinity' series, in which I work with colorful tiles that expand into infinite variations and constant transformation in a sustainable manner.”
About Brigitte Puschmann: Her “Infinity” series is particularly fascinating, in which she works with colored tiles that are small works of art in themselves. These tiles can be placed, swapped, removed or arranged on wooden panels as desired before or after the work is captured through the lens of the camera. The series name "Infinity" aptly reflects the almost endless possibilities of variation that prevail in their works.
