The piece is characterized by two vertical columns of monochromatic tiles in a silver-gray hue, which bookend the composition. These tiles are heavily textured, with a surface that undulates with raised and recessed areas, catching light and casting shadows to emphasize their topographical quality. The texture suggests a technique akin to impasto, where the paint is applied thickly, leaving visible brushstrokes and palette knife marks that add a sculptural dimension to the tiles.
Interspersed between the silver-gray columns are tiles that explode with color — one column radiates with saturated pinks and reds, while the other is awash in vivid blues. These tiles, while also textured, seem to have a more fluid, less structured application of paint, with the variations in tone and intensity creating an organic, almost marbled effect.
The intensity of the colors in "INFINITY 4309" contrasts sharply with the neutral grays, creating a visual dialogue between the tiles. Puschmann’s use of contrasting textures and the juxtaposition of color imbue the piece with a dynamic energy, while the title "INFINITY" suggests a thematic exploration of endless possibilities, be it in color, form, or texture. The work invites viewers to contemplate the infinite variations within the confines of the grid, reflecting on the interplay between order and chaos, uniformity and individuality.

BIOGRAPHY
Artist Statement: "In my art I strive to fuse the versatility of abstract art, wall art, geometry and color harmonies into a fascinating unity, particularly focusing on my 'Infinity' series, in which I work with colorful tiles that expand into infinite variations and constant transformation in a sustainable manner.”
About Brigitte Puschmann: Her “Infinity” series is particularly fascinating, in which she works with colored tiles that are small works of art in themselves. These tiles can be placed, swapped, removed or arranged on wooden panels as desired before or after the work is captured through the lens of the camera. The series name "Infinity" aptly reflects the almost endless possibilities of variation that prevail in their works.
