BIOGRAPHY
Jean Fourton is a French humanist, writer, painter. He was born in 1934. At 25 years old he met General de Gaulle encouragements. He is a doctor in psychology. His masters were Jacques Lacan and Roland Barthes. In the art field he worked with Pierre Soulages, benefited of his influence, took his own soar.
He invented several ways of expression in art, notably in the sphere of mural tapestry weaving, continuing 600 years of Aubusson tradition and culture in this area. At 90 years old he still works hard, participating to painting shows every where, getting official orders from French government… His style is often classified among surrealistic painting. Some journalists say that « his pictures work as philosophical mirrors".
