Zambala, also known as Jambhala, is a Tibetan Buddhist deity linked to prosperity and wealth. Depicted as a golden-skinned figure seated on a lotus throne, he holds a mongoose in his left hand and either a jewel-spitting trident or a citron fruit in his right hand. Considered a manifestation of Avalokiteshvara, the bodhisattva of compassion, Zambala is revered for his role as a powerful protector and provider of both material and spiritual abundance. Devotees seek his assistance through prayers, mantras, and rituals to overcome financial challenges. Zambala manifests in five forms, each with specific attributes and mantras: the White Zambala (purity and healing), Green Zambala (activity and success), Black Zambala (protection and obstacle removal), Red Zambala (magnetizing wealth), and Yellow Zambala (increasing abundance). In Tibetan Buddhism, Zambala is often depicted alongside other wealth-associated deities and symbols such as the Eight Auspicious Symbols, Seven Precious Jewels, and Four Heavenly Kings. Many Tibetan households and businesses incorporate Zambala's images or statues, along with performing rituals and offerings to honor and seek his blessings.
