Artist Statement
Sayan explores compositional, coloristic, and plastic techniques for space construction. He separates painting from the picture plane, turning painting into a substance of its own. His focus is on the space of home and its transformation, often depicted with doorways and rooms compressed into impasto reliefs, blending complex visual perspectives with nomadic mobility that stretches in every direction.
