Nasrah Nefer
Nasrah Nefer, a German-Egyptian artist, was born in Heidelberg and discovered painting as her preferred form of expression at an early age. Even as a child, she chose colors and shapes over words to communicate her creativity. After completing her schooling and training as a nurse, she seized the opportunity to study art in Italy. She spent two years on the island of Sardinia, studying at the art academy of Francesco Santini. Returning to Germany, she continued her artistic education and pursued academic studies in Egyptology, Islamic Studies, and Archaeology at the University of Cologne. In addition to painting, she dedicated herself to dance, undergoing nine years of training in contemporary and Egyptian dance. She performed on international stages and taught dance, gymnastics, and art, bridging movement and creativity. In Bonn, she opened an Oriental shop and later realized her vision of connecting cultures through her Ya Habibi event bistro and restaurant. These spaces introduced the vibrant and warm world of the Orient to her audience. Over the course of more than 20 years, she performed on stage and lived in various Oriental countries, teaching art, dance, and gymnastics. Her works were featured in 2015 in the art book Seelenlandschaften, published by Karin Fischer Verlag, in collaboration with poet Franziska Pietsch. In 2020, she co-founded the NAS Art artist collective with Ayşe Yalcındağ and Serpil Topaloğlu, promoting intercultural dialogue and artistic collaboration. Nasrah Nefer’s art blends the traditions of the East and West. Influenced by Art Nouveau and Art Deco, her works harmoniously combine elegance and expressive power. Her paintings have been exhibited internationally. In 2022, her artworks appeared in the novel Ruhun Ayrıksı Tangosu by Erdal Beşer, which explores the healing power of art. In 2024, she co-founded the online platform Lumen Art Gallery with German artist Elke Lina Krüger, creating a global network for artists.

Artist Statement
"My art is the expression of a journey between worlds – a translation of inner visions shaped by the colors of the Orient, the forms of Art Nouveau, and the depth of human emotions. Through psychedelic imagery, I create a dialogue between mind and soul, a reflection of the invisible taking shape in the visible. My goal is to push the boundaries of perception while building bridges – between cultures, between tradition and modernity, between the inner and the outer. My works are invitations to discover the hidden and to reimagine one's own reality."
