I am a visual artist who lives at the entrance to Patagonia in southern Chile, surrounded by exuberant nature. I have been working for more than 20 years mainly linked to art and education and my works have been exhibited in various cultural spaces, universities, art fairs, biennials, art galleries and museums in different cities and countries, highlighting the city of Arkansas, New York, Miami in the United States, Santiago, Talca and Temuco in Chile, Málaga and Marbella in Spain, among others.
Artist Statement
I present a series of images called “Temporal Geographies” that arise from the personal experience of Zen philosophy applied to the creation of automatic images, which seek to represent the here and now using the line as a vibration, thus capturing immediacy from a personal perspective.
In this place, forms are developed that play between emptiness and form, thus creating an alchemy between contemplation and atmosphere, the empty canvas and the images that emerge in each work.
The works then navigate through geographies in construction and deconstruction, addressing imaginary landscapes that fragment, collapse and transform into linear currents and connections that allow the viewer to construct their own reading of each work.
