BIOGRAPHY
Karin Bos has the ability to create landscapes that are beautiful as well as intriguing, a kindly world at first glance. Upon closer inspection, the images are ambiguous and reveal a slightly ominous undertone. Born in 1966 in Rijswijk, the Netherlands, Karin Bos graduated from the Amsterdam School of Fine Arts in 1989 and now lives and works in Amsterdam. Her main media is painting, drawing and printing, and she has participated in numerous solo and group shows in museums and galleries in the Netherlands and abroad. Her work is represented in museum, corporate and public collections internationally, including the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Museum CAB Burgos, CODA Museum Apeldoorn, the Lonsford Collection of Purdue University and Stadtmuseum Borken in Germany.
