BIOGRAPHY
Jessica Kirkpatrick is an artist and art psychotherapist living in Edinburgh, Scotland. She trained at the University of Colorado at Boulder, School of Visual Arts in New York, the University of Edinburgh, and Queen Margaret University. She is a winner of the Abby Award Fellowship in Painting at the British School at Rome, and the Roswell Artist in Residency Grant in New Mexico. She has art in private collections around the world.
Artist Statement
My paintings explore the dualities and mysteries of Self. I use my own personal healing journey and lived experience to point toward humanity as part of rather than separate from nature. I use the physical material process of making to access my unconscious longings or knowings, using the imagery to mirror and reflect back to me truths about myself.
