BIOGRAPHY

Douglas Newton was born in Washington, DC. He has a BA in Economics from Stanford University and attended Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. After a career as an art director, he has been painting full time. Douglas is a realist painter specializing in contemporary still life. He paints in oil on canvas and works directly from life, not using photographs. Douglas lives and works in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, NY with his wife, Kathleen Migliore Newton, also an artist,
