Artist Statement
I’m Caroline and I paint feeling, colour and energy. Art rescued me after I had a nervous breakdown. Art became a big coping strategy, a friend, a teacher, a career and art nursed me back to life. Art gave my life purpose and meaning and something to get out of bed for. Painting is an integral part of me. I simply need to paint. My hope is that my painting can give pleasure to others. So that something good and meaningful can come out of all the suffering I went through.
