Tomás Castaño was born in Santander, Spain, in 1953. An internationally recognized, self-taught artist, he has forged himself through determination and enthusiasm, opting for a realistic pictorial style. His work is characterized by serene and poetic realism, capturing the magic of ancient aesthetics and expressing traditional streets, buildings, and facades with warmth and humanization. Castaño's paintings have been exhibited in group exhibitions across the United States, India, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Mexico, and various European countries. He represented Cantabria at the Florence Biennale in 2005 and has been featured in numerous exhibitions in Spain. His artwork appears in collections worldwide, including Spain, France, Australia, Portugal, Greece, Taiwan, India, the UK, Austria, Mexico, Puerto Rico, the USA, and Costa Rica.
