Kat Bergman, born in Kansas City, MO, moved to San Carlos, CA, at the age of 10 and has lived in various parts of Northern California and the North Shore of Oahu, HI. Currently residing in Hollister, CA, Kat works from her newly built home studio. Her artistic journey began with a dream of becoming a high fashion designer, influenced by her father's work with Vogue Fashion Marketing in NY. This early exposure to fashion inspired her to spend countless hours drawing models and dreaming of greatness. Kat continued her art education in her mid-20s, studying art history, painting, sculpting, and design while raising her family. Her career in the Silicon Valley electronics industry as a silkscreener and later as a Quality Director did not deter her passion for art. She maintained a small business printing her original pen & ink drawings on glass and shirts. In 2009, under the instruction of Laurie Johnson Lepkowska and the late Duke Collins, she resumed painting and has been creating ever since.
