His artistic journey began in 1975, focusing on painting visions inspired by dreams. Jeff is a self-taught artist who has spent over 40 years studying the writings and techniques of renowned artists such as Maxfield Parrish, Robert Henri, and Salvador Dali. He is particularly drawn to the transparent glazing techniques of the old masters and the vibrant use of color by the impressionists. Jeff believes in the personal nature of the creative process, emphasizing that art cannot be truly taught but discovered through the development of materials and techniques. He views art as a medium for self-discovery and understanding one's relationship with humanity and the world.
