The Artistic Journey of Jan Bollaert
Jan Bollaert was born in 1958 and resides in Antwerp, Belgium. His journey into the world of art began at the age of 10 when he started drawing. At 30, he intensified his focus on painting and eventually became a full-time professional painter in 1994. Before pursuing painting full-time, Jan worked as an accountant and a graphic designer. He studied economics, drawing, and illustration & graphic design. Initially, Jan painted in acrylics but transitioned to oil paints at the beginning of this millennium, seeking more freedom in his artistic expression. His works have been exhibited in major cities like New York, Miami, Seattle, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Paris, and Antwerp, as well as in numerous lesser-known venues.
