The Artistic Journey of Andrew Abbott

Andrew Abbott creates multi-layered, seemingly obsessive artworks using non-traditional found materials such as shopping bags, cabinet doors, and notebook paper, as well as traditional surfaces like canvas and paper. He received his BA in Studio Art from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2002. Born in Nova Scotia, Andrew grew up in North Carolina, served in the U.S. Army as a medic, and has lived in Jamaica, Spain, Nigeria, Canada, and Puerto Rico, among other U.S. states. He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY, with his wife, Natalia. His works are exhibited internationally, showcasing his unique approach to art and life.
