The Artistic Journey of Parastoo Ahovan

Parastoo Ahovan is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in New York City. She was an MFA candidate at Pratt Institute from 2011 to 2012 and graduated with an MFA from Boston University in 2014. Parastoo works with various materials and multiple types of media, including sculpture, installation, mixed media, video, and performance. Her work has been exhibited in numerous international venues, such as Museo del Ojo in Cordoba, Argentina, the National Pavilion of Iran at the 56th Venice Biennial in Italy, and the EUNAM Museum in Gwangju, South Korea. Parastoo's sculptures are installed in urban spaces across Iran, Turkey, Spain, India, UAE, Italy, France, China, and the USA.
