Hector Acevedo was born in Lima in 1963. He pursued studies in both civil engineering at the National University of Engineering and fine arts at Peru’s Advanced Autonomous School of Fine Arts, where he focused on drawing and painting. This combination of disciplines shaped his unique perspective as an artist. Hector chose to dedicate his career to the plastic arts, finding true vocation and personal satisfaction in this field. Currently residing in Spain, he continues to develop his artistic practice, characterized by a symbolic-dreamlike figurativism. His work contrasts apparent external emptiness with internal plenitude, using vivid, intense, and penetrating colors to fill his canvases.
