The Artistic Journey of Deniz Beser
Deniz Beser, born in 1986, is an interdisciplinary artist based in Istanbul and Vienna. He holds a BA degree in Ceramics and Glass Design from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul, and studied Painting at the University of Sevilla, Spain. Deniz is the founder and director of Fanzineist Vienna Art Book & Zine Fair and Open Studio Days Istanbul, and co-founder of the independent art publication Heyt be! Fanzin. His practice spans various mediums, including painting, installation, zine, art book, music, video, and ready-mades. Deniz often combines these different mediums in his installations, reflecting his active involvement in the zine and street art scene. His works are inspired by post-internet pop culture, internet phenomena, and the silent heroes of everyday life. Deniz's art has been exhibited throughout Europe and Asia and is part of private collections in Austria, France, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey. His art books are also in the collections of prestigious libraries such as the British Library and the University of California, Los Angeles.
