Denise Jones Adler, born in 1953 in the Bronx, is a multi-media collage-based artist who transforms detritus from our world into otherworldly scenes and creations. Having studied with artist Juanita McNeely in the 1970s and influenced by the Feminist art movement, Denise creates worlds of feminine escapism. She has been active in the New York art scene since the 80s and was a founding member of the Cultural Guerrillas group. During the Pandemic, she co-founded ArtSpeak Collective, leading to the establishment of Pictor Gallery in Chelsea, NY, where she serves as the Director. Denise's work is both personal and archetypical, seeking to memorialize a moment in time, the fragile nature of life, and the emotional impact of the past on the present.
