Clara Aden is a multidisciplinary artist known for her mind-blowing pencil drawings. Based in Lagos, Nigeria, she studied painting at Federal Science Technical College Yaba. Her work has been celebrated internationally, with exhibitions such as Global Images of U.S Women in Pennsylvania in 2015 and the Amref Artball in New York in 2019 and 2020. Clara is the winner of the Global Network Research Development (GNRD) Freedom of Expression 2015 art competition in Norway and a beneficiary of the 2018 International Artist Residency Award from the Omooba Yemisi Adedoyin Shyllon Art Foundation (OYASAF). Her "Technological Glitch Series" was recently exhibited at the Newark Arts Festival, Newark Museum of Art NJ. Currently, she serves as Vice President of the Female Artists Association of Nigeria (FEAAN). Over the past decade, Clara's work has critically examined social, political, and cultural issues, with a profound emphasis on gender identity. She is now exploring photography and digital art.
