Chiayin Lee is an artist originally from Taiwan, currently residing in Brittany, France. Her journey into the world of art was inspired by a pivotal moment in her life, leading her to embrace artistic creation as a form of self-expression. Embodying the words of Simone de Beauvoir, "I accept the greatest adventure of being me," Chiayin has developed a unique artistic style that combines her love for the ocean with influences from Japanese dry landscape gardens and stunning coastal views. Her medium of choice includes ink and gansai (Japanese watercolor), which she uses to create modern sumi-e paintings. By employing rice paper and a brush, Chiayin conveys her thoughts and feelings, inviting viewers on a peaceful journey in Zen through the strategic use of whitespace in her artworks.
