From a young age, Bradley Lusa found solace and necessity in creativity. Born with a fierce, expressive spirit, a simple box of crayons became a channel for his emotions, transforming them into vibrant drawings. Early works often featured people, especially women with dramatic hair and outfits, sparking an early fascination with expression through form and color. Although sports and other activities later took precedence, art remained a private passion, surfacing through elective courses and informal classes. It wasn't until 2020, during a hiatus due to a chronic back condition, that Bradley fully returned to visual creation. This period marked a transformative journey, leading to nearly seventy paintings over three years. Largely self-taught, he now works primarily with acrylics on hardboard panels, exploring subjects from still lifes and landscapes to figures and interiors. His unique, often described as primitive and naïve style, captivates with its honesty and charm. Despite self-doubt, Bradley embraces his artistic journey as a profound blessing, continuously evolving with gratitude and vigor.
