Allan Baillie was born in Washington D.C. in 1941. He pursued his art studies at the Richmond Professional Institute and participated in a summer program at the Academia di Belle Arti in Rome, Italy. Allan completed his MFA at the Maryland Institute, where he studied under the guidance of Grace Hartigan and Sam Gilliam. His career spans both professional photography and fine art, with exhibitions held globally. Allan's current work focuses on botanical photography, carrying a strong environmental message that expresses concern about climate change’s impact on nature. Through his art, Allan aims to reveal the design and beauty in botanicals, reminding us of the wonders of the earth and the importance of preserving them for future generations.
