Royal Academy Summer Exhibition 2025 – A Celebration of Art Without Limits

The Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition 2025 is back — and this year, it’s more vibrant, diverse, and thought-provoking than ever before. Held annually since 1769, the Summer Exhibition remains the world’s oldest open submission art show, offering a unique platform for emerging and established artists to showcase their creativity.

🌟 This Year’s Theme: “Space and Freedom”

Curated by Royal Academician Ann Christopher RA, the 2025 edition revolves around the theme of space — both physical and emotional. The theme invites artists to explore openness, movement, and artistic liberty through various mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, film, and print.
